Add on Program
The Add on 30 hrs program was conducted in our physics lab from 11th Sep to 30th Sep 2023.Dr.Sankara Narayanan Asst.prof. of physics Welcomed the gathering and Dr.P.Gnanadurai, head Department of physics preside over the program. Our Department staff members are delivered the lectures regarding various topics. Totally 14 students are participated and benefited this add on program
Borassus Plantation
Department of Physics [SF] Organizes Two Borassus plantation in our college on 08-10-2021 and 25-10-2021. The aim of the program is to motivate the students towards the concept of green the globe.
Electronics Forum Workshops
Forum Workshops on trouble shooting in Scientific Equipments was organized by the Department of Physics [SF], NMSSVN College on 08.06.2022. Dr. A. Rajeshwarapalanisamy, Principal (i/c), NMSSVN College presided over the function. Dr. P. Srithar, Self Finance Director, felicitated the function. Dr. P. Gnanadurai, Head of the Department of Physics, introduced the chief guest. Mr. S. Saravna Kumar M.E , Omega Electronics, Madurai, inaugurated the Electronics Forum and delivered the inaugural address.
Guest Lecture on “On Your Mark, Get Set, Go”
The Guest Lecture was on the “On Your Mark, Get Set, Go” and the session was handled by Dr. R.V. KrishnaKumar, Associate Professor, Thiyagarajar College, Madurai. He presented the ideas of day-to-day physics in an elaborate and easy way. The students of B.Sc Physics are greatly benefitted by his talk. His talk was very informative and he explained how the physics applied in cutting edge technology.
Parents Teachers Meeting
Department of Physics SF, NMSSVN College, Madurai organized Parents Teachers Meeting for III B.Sc Students on 07-06-2022. The main objective of the meeting was to create a common platform, where teachers and parents come together to discuss student’s performance.

Two Days Hands on Training workshop on Mobile Phone Servicing and troubleshooting
Mr. B. Krishnakumar, Managing Director, New Technology Mobile Service and Training Institute, Coimbatore,inaugurated the seminar and delivered the inaugural address. The Memorandum of understanding (MoU) between Department of Physics [SF], NMSSVN College, Madurai and New Technology Mobile Service & Training Institute (Coimbatore) was signed for the academic exchange of the department and training institute for the beneficial of the students.

Department of Physics [SF] organized a workshop on Hands on training on One day workshop and hands on training on “Solar roof top ON –grid and OFF – grid design and installation” on 14th March 2024 at 10.00 AM in Physics Laboratory, Department of Physics [SF]. Mr.M.Saravanakumar, Proprietor of Omega systems and service, Madurai gave an elaborate talk about the roof top solar power scheme - “Surya Ghar : Muft Bijili Yojana “which is introduced by our Prime minister of India recently and our Tamilnadu State government also granted the same.
